The Vagaries of a Brick Wall

A mason with no knowledge of stone or mortar.

Bricks stacked up, one atop another, we are without

infinite variation and like all visible light

without shadow,  an existence of bleeding

into each other being ground into the ground.

earth where the feeling gaps.

Home lives where the light swallows

the distance in relations, ships may take us

in the way that we are cobbled together

and the line between floor and wall

grows faint.
