What do the words mean?
The grandeur of things
of each, a scale.  As I
try to compare the galaxies
of the universe, atoms in the air
breathes in the soul.

If we are smaller than
we know—like through
the looking glass–
count the miles from head
to toe.  What will survive?

Words from the mouth
both particle and wave, form
in a singular scene
an image thrown upon a gold screen.

  1. You grabbed me with your title: The I and the Not I. You had me at your subtitle: Psychology vs Poetry. This poem is something I’ve considered. I love that you put it into poetry. I am now subscribed to your blog. Looking forward to more and will read through the old.
